The group belongs to the Endocrinology and Nutrition Clinical Unit of the Virgen de la Victoria University Hospital, within the area of Cardiovascular and Renal Diseases - Diabetes and Obesity of IBIMA. The lines of research focus on the study of metabolic diseases, through different approaches, always with a translational approach. In recent years, special interest has been given to the study of environmental factors, microbiota and epigenetics, in the development of this type of pathologies. In line with this network, our group has the following lines of research focused on the study of genetics, the environment and epigenetics in the context of chronic non communicable diseases such as obesity, diabetes and related metabolic disorders, and cancer, as well as the search for new biomarkers and therapeutic targets:
